We are looking for people with relevant experience or a professional background to offer specialised care for young people with complex emotional needs and behaviours.

Specifically, we are in search of specialist foster carers who possess the necessary experience, qualifications, and skills to provide dedicated care to a child or young person with special educational needs, disabilities or complex emotional and behavioural needs within their own home.

As a specialist foster carer, you will need:

  • Relevant experience and skills
  • Be able to offer dedicated care to a child or young person in the care of South Gloucestershire with special educational needs, disabilities or complex behavioural or emotional needs
  • Have a spare bedroom and be able to provide 24-hour, dedicated care in your own home

You will be fully supported and receive excellent training and professional development opportunities whilst receiving payments that are reflective of your skills:

  • Parent and Child Foster Carer earn up to £37,700 per annum*
  • Step Down Foster Carer earn up to £41,100 per annum*
  • Specialist Foster Carers earn up to £32,100 per annum*
  • Short Break Foster Carers earn up to £140 per 24hrs*

*Dependent on the number and length a child or young person is in your care.
